Om studiet
Scandinavian studies for International Students is a campus programme which gives students an opportunity to explore dimensions of the Norwegian way of life by focusing on Norway language and culture – national as well as regional and local.
Target group
The programme Scandinavian Studies for International Students is open for citizens from the EU and EEA countries. This programme does not meet the requirements for a study permit for non-EU students applying from abroad or wishing to continue studies in Norway. However, non-EU citizens already living in Norway on other grounds are able to apply.
The four courses NOR1001, NOR1002, NOR1003 and NOR1004 total 60 credits (ECTS). These four courses cover the Norwegian language proficiency requirement for admission to studies in Norway.
This programme does not require an agreement with a home university. Students from a USN partner university please can apply for our exchange programme.
