You attend upper secondary education after you have completed lower secondary education. However, if you have not completed lower secondary school, you can get an assessment of your informal qualifications and be admitted.

    Y path
    Certain programmes admit students without a general university admissions certification. They can apply to y path (Y-vei) programmes with a vocational qualification such as a journeyman’s certificate, trade certificate or vocational qualification from upper secondary school.
