Some programme areas consist of one year at school and three years working for a company and are referred to as ‘special pathways’. You will be taught programme and common subjects both at school and during the apprenticeship period.

After one year in school, you spend three years as an apprentice. A journeyman's certificate or a trade certificate is awarded after you have passed a theoretical exam and a practical test. You get a vocational skill and become a skilled worker.
